This holiday season we invited Delilah fans to showcase their talent and creativity by customizing Delilah to fit the season (see official contest rules). Needless to say, we were amazed by your "Naughty" and "Nice" entries! And while it was hard to pick our $1000 Grand Prize and $250 Second Prize winners, the judges have come to their final decisions!

"The Lone Turtle Dove"

 by:  Stacy L.

Artist's comments:
I repainted Delilah to be more ethereal and otherworldly. She is the lone Turtle Dove from the song "Twelve Days of Christmas". She is in search of her true love other Turtle Dove mentioned in the beloved Christmas Carol. Using a nude body stocking as a base, I made a couture outfit of Swarovski crystals and feathers. The hat and the shoes were embellished with little doves.

Judges Comments:
We were surprised and impressed by many of the entries we received in the Delilah Noir Naughty or Nice contest, but "The Lone Turtle Dove" blew us away. Great job Stacy.

"Pink Frost"

 by:  Karen B. and Wendy S.

Pink Frost (an original poem)

In pristine white with feathered hair, a 'Swan' I am with graceful flair.

A New Year's Ball, Tchaikovsky's strain, a ballet dream, romantic vein;

I may not dance as light as air, nor twirl, entranced, without a care;

but I can show the best in me, of innocence, borne gracefully.

Judges Comments:
Pink Frost is the most delicate rendition of Delilah that we have seen to date. Meticulous details including her snowflake boa, crystal choker, and layers and layers of tulle, provide a fresh take on the Nutcracker Ballet theme. We also love the snowflakes that were hand-painted on her upper cheeks and her new teeth that give added dimension to her mouth.
  "Pretty Poison: The Poinsettia Fairy Queen"

 by:  Donna A.

The Poinsetta Fairy Queen

Over the great mountains, just left of the north pole, there lived a naughty fairy queen and mischief was her goal.

In a dress made of poinsettias, snowflakes and black lace, she gathers up her skelly elves and they each step into place.

We're going to kidnap santa, his reindeer and his sleigh! And keep him here just long enough, so he's late for christmas day!

We'll steal his bag of goodies, filled up with all his toys, and replace it with old bones and coal, for all the girls and boys!

Well...As she thought about it, I guess it's not very nice. She offered santa a shining globe and apologized not once, but twice.

As santa went his merry way and he drove off out of sight, she thought to herself, guess there's always next year and she disappeared into the night.

Judges Comments:
We were amazed by level of detail in this entry, both in the outfit and in the props. From her extravagant headdress to her gown constructed of layers of poinsettia leaves, "Pretty Poison" exudes a high level of creativity and craftmanship. And the Skely Elves are just too cool!

"Party Time"+ "Grandma's Little Girl"

by: Gerry B.

Comments:
Gerry united her "Naughty" and "Nice" entries with a very clever story that reminds us so much of Delilah. In the story, Delilah wears the dress her Grandmother made so as not to offend her, but shows off her true style later on with the help of a long reversible cape. Great Job!

"Santa's Little Helper"

Comments:
We have never seen Delilah look so beautiful. Her makeover, including enhanced eyelashes, teeth, and long pretty locks, impressed us all. Her canine pal is pretty cute too!
